Privacy Policy — Sini
Effective as of 2026-06-05
In short: Sini works entirely on your device and entirely offline. It has no servers and makes no network calls. It does not collect, store, or share any personal data — no accounts, no analytics, no ads, no tracking. Your location is used only in memory, only while the app is open, only to find the nearest station and line, and it never leaves your device.
This privacy policy applies to the Sini app (hereby referred to as the "Application"), package id.appventure.sini, for Android devices, created by Appventure.id (hereby referred to as the "Service Provider") as a free service. Sini shows a commuter's live position on the KRL Jabodetabek train network. The Application is provided for use "AS IS".
Information We Collect
The Application does not collect any personal data. Specifically, it does not involve any of the following:
- No user accounts, sign-in, or registration
- No analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking
- No advertising or advertising identifiers
- No third-party SDKs or services
- No cookies or similar tracking technologies
- No device identifiers, IP address, or contact information
The Application has no backend and no servers of its own, makes zero network calls, and works fully offline. Because nothing is transmitted, the Service Provider never receives, sees, or stores any information about you.
Location Information
The Application uses your device's GPS location to place you on the KRL Jabodetabek map and determine the nearest station and line. This processing happens with the following strict limits:
- Foreground only. Location is accessed only while the Application is open and in use. It is never accessed in the background.
- On-device only. Your location is processed entirely on your device, in memory, to compute the nearest station and line.
- Never transmitted. Your location is never sent over the network, never uploaded to any server, and never shared with the Service Provider or any third party.
- Never stored off-device. Your location is not stored or retained off your device.
When you close the Application, location access stops. You can revoke the location permission at any time in your device's system settings; the rest of the Application will continue to function, but it will no longer be able to show your live position.
Permissions
The Application requests only the permissions necessary to show your live position:
ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION— to determine your precise position relative to nearby stations and lines.ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION— to determine your approximate position when precise location is unavailable or not granted.
Both permissions are used in the foreground only. The Application does not request background location access.
Advertising and Purchases
The Application is free. It contains no advertising and no in-app purchases. It includes an optional way to support development through a donation; choosing to donate opens an external website in your browser. That external site is operated by a third party and is governed by its own privacy policy, not this one.
Third-Party Services
The Application does not use any third-party services, SDKs, or analytics providers, and does not share any data with third parties. The only third party you may interact with is the external donation website described above, and only if you choose to open it.
Data Retention and Deletion
The Application does not collect or transmit personal data, so there is no personal data held by the Service Provider to retain or delete. Any settings or data the Application uses remain on your device and are removed when you uninstall the Application using the standard uninstall process on your device or app marketplace.
Children
The Application is not directed at children. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because the Application collects no personal data at all, no such information about children is gathered, stored, or shared.
Security
Because all processing happens on your device and no data is transmitted or stored off-device, your information stays under your control. The Service Provider has no access to your location or any other data from the Application.
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
